• The Public Access to Law (P.A.L.) programme, now entering its 20th year, has become one of the most successful and unique initiatives in Irish Education. We strive to de-mystify the world of law and to embody within this visiting law module many of the principles of Transition Year including thinking on one’s feet, research, presentation skills and teamwork.
• 20 years bringing hands on experience in law & legal practice to transition year students.
• Specially devised law programme giving students a distinctive insight into law as seen through the eyes of a practicing barrister or solicitor.
• Opportunity to enter into the PAL national mock trials competition which is the most popular transition year competition in the country. The versatile nature of the competition also appeals to other student skills and provides a platform for pupils to develop a wide range of talents including T.V. and newspaper legal reporting, acting, courtroom artistry and photography.
• This course, being both enjoyable & educational, has been highly successful over the years in Irish schools. The PAL written examination (optional) can be held in the school on one of the days which follow the presentation of the PAL visiting law module. Upon receiving the answer sheets, the P.A.L. correction centre will return promptly to schools all corrected scripts, individual parchments for pupils and exam book prizes
